Cervical Spine (C-spine)
Definition
The seven vertebrae (C1-C7) of the neck region that support the skull and protect the spinal cord. Cervical spine injuries are common in workers' compensation and include disc herniations, radiculopathy, fractures, and degenerative conditions. Impairment is rated using the DRE or ROM method under AMA Guides Chapter 15.
